I must say my first impression of the knife when I got it wasn't very overwhelming. But I will start first with the good features. It has a very solid grip in the hand and doesn't slip around a bit even when it's wet, plus thanks to the long handle and the shape of the blade you can also handle it well with work gloves. The blade is ground out nice and narrow behind the edge which allows a very sharp edge. It came extremely sharp out of the box but the grind didn't last very long which is to be blamed because I didn't spare it at work. But that's already it with the good features. How beautiful the factory edge may be it doesn't last forever and when you get to the point where you have to sharpen it you already encounter the 1st problem namely you can't sharpen the part with conventional whetstones because of the small rounding at the bottom of the blade and may have to get an extra grinding rod for it. The thumb hole and the backlock was much too sharp for me personally as well as the texture of the handle scales which is why I rounded them off with some sandpaper. My conclusion is that if you need a knife that doesn't slip out of your hand while wearing gloves it is great, but otherwise I wouldn't advise against this because technically you have to destroy it first to be able to use it comfortably and because it is awkward to scrape it's not the most fun to maintain. Long story short I don't regret buying it because of how userfreindly it is in combination with working gloves but in any other occasion I defenetly consider a other one.
